Adding Custom Module Positions

Adding more Module Positions allows for more positions to be used in your template. Some of the JoomlArt template's require that module positions be added, so in this tutorial we'll explain how you can easily do so.
  1. Firstly, we'll need to login to the administrator area of your Joomla! powered website.
  2. Next, click Site > Template Manager > Module Positions
  3. Next, you will see a series of text boxes. One column is for the position name itself, and the second is an optional description. You will need to type in the required module position into a new text box.
  4. Once you have typed in your new module position, click Save at the top right hand corner and check that the module position has shown in the Module Positions when modifying a module.
